The Beast has landed at Americas Cardroom and it promises to change how and where online poker players park their chips. Launching July 1st, The Beast is a monthly progressive points race that awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and prizes every month. And because The Beast is funded through jackpot tables, it’ll likely end up being the richest points race in online poker history.

“We’re dramatically changing the online poker landscape with the creation of a groundbreaking monthly points race that promises to reward more players, more often,” stated Michael Harris, Americas Cardroom spokesperson. “While our Bad Beat Jackpot tables are still in the play, we’re allowing more people to win more cash and prizes by splitting the jackpot prize pool into something that benefits everyone.”
The Beast is a monthly progressive points race with both cash prizes and tournament entry prizes. The prize pool, estimated to grow up to hundreds of thousands every month, is funded using players’ shared jackpot contribution money. Anyone who sits down at a cash table marked Jackpot automatically becomes part of The Beast competition by earning points through participation in a raked hand.
While more points are earned at higher stake levels, everyone participating in the same raked hand earns the same number of points—regardless of how much rake they contributed to the pot.
The Beast leaderboard features two prizes—a cash prize pool and a tournament entry prize pool. For the launch of The Beast, online poker players will be able to win free $109 entries to a Punta Cana Poker Classic Super Satellite, where prize packages worth $5,000 apiece are on the line.
Because The Beast grows using money generated at Jackpot tables, the more people who play at the jackpot tables, the greater the prize pool, and, in turn, the more people who’ll reap the rewards.
